Pieced Painter's Shirts

New for 2009 and 2010 - Our Painter's Shirts - Pieced.
I take one color theme and play with it - putting combinations of colors and designs together. Our Painter's Shirt is one-size-fits-most with stand-up collar and buttons down the front. Great for today's casual look.

Inspirations from South of France-Vence

Spent October in Vence, France with my friend Jane. Beautiful weather - out and about each day seeing new sights. Nice, Beaulieu, Monaco, Cannes, Saint Paul de Vence were amoung my favorites. Chagall Museum in Nice most inspirational with vivid colors-wine red, brillant blue, golds. Will be incorporating these sights into future kimono pieces.

Art on the Wall

We had an exciting photo shoot in September with my Kimono Art Pieces as art on the wall. We hope to capture a broader market to include galleries and interior designers. This will enhance my creativity. I encourage all my wonderful stores to think about displaying my pieces as art on the wall. The three demensional kimono shape, with my handpainted fabric, becomes art on the wall.

Art Kimono at Bellagio in Asheville, North Carolina

Exciting new Art Piece shown on the wall in Bellagio Gallery/Store. It is being showcased for the month of September.
'Landscape Series - #1' was inspired by my travels to Ireland and seeing the different landscapes from above.

We plan to have 20 new Long Kimono Art Pieces from our Studio in Vermont ready in late October.

Exuma Island Long Kimono

This Kimono was inspired by my visit to the Exuma Island in the Bahamas. Spent the day on the sandbar overlooking the water with all its different shades of blue. This is the second in my series of Long Kimonos. More to follow.

New Long Kimonos

This is my first two layered hand painted long kimono in crepe de chine with sheer silk chiffon overlay panels.
As a fiber artist, I have always pictured kimonos as ART on the wall.
My inspiration for this design was the patchwork landscape as viewed from my travels to Ireland in 2007.

Great Response to Studio Sale

Our Studio Sale on June 20th-There was an art piece for everyone at all different price ranges. Our new Market Bags were a great success. We sold multiples! We had an adorable salesperson, Barret, a new massage therapy graduate helping to write up sales. Ruth and Roselle were busy explaining the process and making people happy with their new purchases. It's always nice to sell to the local community.
On to Fisher Island! (see post below)
